Peter Giddings is an engineering leader focussing on technology commercialisation and product development with deep expertise in advanced manufacturing, product development and systems thinking. He brings a structured approach to industrial strategy founded on 15 years of R&D and technology commercialisation spanning wind, aerospace, oil & gas and sporting goods. 
Peter is part of the Industrial Strategy team of Offshore Wind Growth Partnership leading their work on technology commercialisation as part of growing a competitive offshore wind supply chain for the UK. Previously, Peter was Chief Engineer at NCC, where he led technology strategy for the energy sector and acted as technical authority for major capital investments and innovation programmes supporting global OEMs and ambitious SMEs. 
Peter earnt a PhD and a Masters degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Bath and is passionate about creating a sustainable and valuable renewable energy sector, with innovation at the heart of that success.
