Maira is the Head of Computational Engineering at RED Engineering Design Ltd, where she leads a diverse international team. She is an alumna of Imperial College and a Chartered Engineer, with expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics and data centre engineering. been defining a culture of inclusion and quality in her day-to-day work, something that those close to her know puts a big smile on her face.

She volunteers with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, as Deputy Chair of their Technical Strategy Board, and is one of the Co-founding trustees of SheCanEngineer. This year, she was awarded the British Empire Medal for services to Diversity in Engineering in the King's New Year Honours.
