James East is an electronics industry professional with over 16 years of experience in the electronic components market. With a strong technical foundation spanning passive components, EMC, power, and connectivity, James has built deep expertise in supporting hardware, embedded, and RF engineering teams across some of the UK's most innovative design consultancies and OEM organisations.

Throughout his career, James has worked closely with electronics engineers at every stage of the design cycle — from early-stage concept and prototyping through to production — helping teams make informed component selection decisions that balance performance, reliability, and cost. His hands-on approach to technical sales and business development has seen him forge lasting partnerships with leading UK design companies, guiding complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects across sectors including medical, industrial, and IoT.

As a member of the Engineering Design Show Advisory Board, James brings a unique perspective that bridges the gap between component supplier and design engineer — championing initiatives that help the UK engineering community access the tools, knowledge, and components they need to bring world-class products to market.

James is currently Business Development Manager at Würth Elektronik UK, where he leads the company's strategic engagement with the UK's design consultancy and OEM sector.
