Emanuil Shandrov
Originally from Bulgaria, Emanuil Shandrov moved to the UK in 2017 to pursue his passion for aerospace by studying Aerospace Systems Engineering at Coventry University. He is now an R&T Technical Lead in the Automation team for Airbus’ future wing assembly.
Emanuil’s journey with Airbus began with a year in industry as a Quality Engineer at Broughton in 2019. After joining the Airbus graduate scheme in 2022, and completing technical and strategic rotations across Broughton, Filton, and Toulouse, he stepped into his current technical lead role in 2024.
Today, he is responsible for projects involving robotics, model-based systems engineering and high-rate factory designs with multiple partner organisations to shape the next generation of wing manufacturing.
