Bev Wood is the Founder and Creative Director of BWD Limited, a commercial interior design consultancy based in Lytham St Annes. With a career spanning almost four decades across product design, furniture design, retail environments, and commercial interiors, Bev brings a rare blend of creativity, technical expertise, and deep user‑centred insight to every project.

Beginning her career in 1987 as a furniture and product designer, Bev worked with leading organisations including Motorola, British Airport Authority, InterCity, London Underground, and Arcadia Group, where she led concept development and major retail design programmes. Her early work in street furniture and public‑realm design sparked a long‑standing interest in how people interact with spaces, an interest that ultimately shaped the ethos behind BWD Limited.

Since founding BWD in 2008, Bev has built a reputation for delivering commercially viable, highly creative environments across public and private sectors, with a strong focus on manufacturability, stakeholder engagement, and user experience. She is also Business Engagement Lead at the University of Lancashire, supporting innovation, research collaboration, and industry partnerships.

An award‑winning designer and active contributor to the Northwest’s creative and business communities, Bev brings extensive real‑world design experience, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation to the Engineering Design Show Advisory Board.
